After responding to an urgent operational requirement and successfully developing and deploying equipment to support the safety of troops on operations, Exsel Electronics has been awarded a contract by the UK Ministry of Defence to continue supporting various force protection products.
The UK MoD have chosen, due to the great level of cost-effective support provided to date, to extend this contract.
Exsel Electronics, the software and electronics division of Exsel Group Limited, will be providing through life support for the equipment, managing obsolescence and executing repair and maintenance programmes to ensure the equipment is available at all times.
The force protection equipment includes integrated software, hardware and service elements and, if needed, can be updated to ensure seamless integration & inter-operability with third party systems and upgrades.
Exsel Electronics sister division, Exsel Design & Integration, having recently moved to larger, better equipped facilities in Worcester, will continue to support this work alongside the UK’s Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) organisation.
