Exsel Group is proud to receive the Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Award 2019

The Ministry of Defence’s Employer Recognition Scheme acknowledges those organisations who actively demonstrate support to the Armed Forces Community. Alongside 33 other companies; including Cisco, Microsoft, the Post Office and the British Transport Police, the Exsel Group has won awards for delivering forces-friendly initiatives in the workplace.


Exsel Group provides Protection through Technology engineering solutions, technology systems and support services to Defence and Industry where reliability, safety and protection are paramount. All products and services are defensive in nature – protecting people, places and privacy around the world.


To receive the Silver Award, the Exsel Group has had to:

  • Employ at least one member of the Armed Forces Community.

  • Demonstrate support for our service personnel issues.

  • Actively communicate and uphold a positive stance to our employees.

  • Show flexibility towards annual training and mobilisation commitments of our Reservist employees and support the employment of Cadet Instructors, Armed Forces Veterans (including the wounded, injured and sick) and military spouses/partners.


Commenting on the announcement of the 2019 Employer Recognition Scheme Silver awards, Defence Secretary, Ben Wallace said:

“These awards recognise the outstanding support for our armed forces from employers across Britain and I would like to thank and congratulate each and every one.”

Jamie Marmant, Director of Exsel Group, stated:

“We are all very proud to receive this award. It reaffirms our association with the Armed Forces Covenant. We will continue to support the personnel of the Armed Forces in any way we can.”
